Hi, I’m Alex. I work with couples and individuals who want to feel more connected — to their partner, to themselves, and to the life they’re trying to build together.

I bring a particular warmth to clients who feel like they’ve been misunderstood elsewhere. Whether you’re navigating high conflict in your relationship, finding that neurodivergence is showing up in your partnership in ways that are hard to talk about, or simply feeling stuck in a cycle you can’t seem to break — I want you to know this is a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

Alexandra Beatty, AMFT

My Approach

My work is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy — a research-backed approach that goes beneath the surface of conflict to what’s actually driving it. I help couples identify the negative cycle keeping them stuck, disconnected, or unheard, and guide them toward deeper emotional connection and more secure relationships.

I have specific experience working with:

High conflict couples — partners caught in intense, escalating cycles where every conversation feels like a battle. EFT is particularly effective here because it addresses the underlying fears and attachment needs driving the conflict, rather than just managing the symptoms.

Neurodivergent couples and individuals — relationships where one or both partners are neurodivergent (including Autism and ADHD) bring unique dynamics around communication, sensory needs, and emotional processing. My background working at an Intensive Outpatient Program for Autistic adults gives me a grounded, informed understanding of these dynamics — and a genuine commitment to neurodivergent-affirming care.

I also work with individuals navigating relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, grief, and major life transitions.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I meet clients where they are — and I believe that feeling genuinely seen is where real change begins.

Background & Credentials

I completed my clinical traineeship at Family Services Agency Burbank (FSA), a nonprofit mental health center serving Burbank and surrounding Los Angeles communities, where I worked with a diverse range of individuals, couples, and families navigating relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, loss, and trauma.

I also have experience at Spectrum Behavioral Care, an individualized intensive outpatient program serving Autistic adults in Tarzana and the Los Angeles area, an experience that deeply informs my understanding of neurodivergent individuals and the relational dynamics that show up in their partnerships and families.

I am now part of the Renewed Relationships Counseling Group team, where I work with couples and individuals under the supervision of Certified EFT Therapist and Supervisor Stephanie Saari, LMFT.
